Samsung PN43D450 Black Friday - Samsung TV Black Friday Deals 2011

Samsung PN43D450 Black Friday

Description : Samsung PN43D450 Black Friday

Plasma Display
Samsung's Plasma HDTVs deliver all the bold contrast and color of plasma, with the advanced features and design that Samsung is known for. Compared to other types of displays, Plasma offers high contrast ratios, gorgeously saturated colors, and allows for wide viewing angles, so every seat in the house is a great one.
600Hz Subfield HD Motion
For TV shows and movies, "600Hz subfield motion" technology renders even the fastest-moving scenes with the utmost clarity and precision, so that each detail is crystal-clear. "600Hz subfield motion" is a measurement for comparing Plasma pixel response and screen refresh rates to that of LCD/LED displays.

"Plus One" Design
Samsung's Plasma Plus One Design sets this TV apart, with a bigger picture and a narrower outer frame, for an extra inch of screen compared to similarly sized competitors' models.
Ultra-Fast Response Time
A fast .001ms response time optimizes fast motion video content. Because it can track fast-moving images without motion blur, plasma is ideal for watching action-packed sports or playing video games.
ConnectShare Movie
Connect a thumb drive or digital camera quickly and easily via the PN43D450's USB port. An intuitive, user-friendly interface allows access to videos, music, or pictures via the remote.
Quality Sound
Get crisp, clear sound with 10 watts through two speakers and advanced SRS technology. SRS' TheaterSound, available in new Samsung HDTVs, is an all-in-one audio suite that directly addresses the three most common consumer TV audio complaints--inconsistent volume levels, unintelligible vocals, and poor, dimension-less sound.
ENERGY STAR Compliant
The PN43D450 exceeds the strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the EPA and US Department of Energy.

Nintendo 3DS Black Friday Deals 2011

Nintendo 3DS Black Friday Hardware Features

3D Screen
Like previous handhelds released by Nintendo, the Nintendo 3DS incorporates both an upper and lower LCD display in a clamshell layout. The lower screen features familiar Nintendo touchscreen technology, is 3.02" (2.42" wide x 1.81" high) with 320 x 240 pixel resolution and is capable of displaying 16.77 million colors, but the groundbreaking upper 3D screen of the Nintendo 3DS system is where Nintendo opens up a whole new world of eye-popping gameplay possibilities. This 3.53" display (3.02" wide x 1.81" high) is capable of displaying approximately the same 16.77 million colors, but with 800 x 240 pixel resolution. 400 pixels are allocated to each eye to enable 3D viewing. This stereoscopic 3D display gives objects within the gameworld a feeling of space and depth that extends far into the back of the screen. This amazing depth of field effect vastly increases the ability to see the position of characters and obstacles in compatible game, making many game experiences even more intuitive for all types of players.
3D Depth Slider
A built-in 3D Depth Slider along the right side of the top display allows you to immediately adjust the intensity of the 3D settings on the Nintendo 3DS system to your liking. The 3D effect can also be turned down completely if the player so chooses. All Nintendo 3DS games and applications can be played in 2D, and look better when played on the Nintendo 3DS than any Nintendo handheld before it.
Motion Sensor and Gyro Sensor
Portable play control reaches a new level with the Nintendo 3DS' Motion Sensor and Gyro Sensor combination. Together these precision built-in features allow for new and unique gameplay mechanics as the 3DS reacts to real-time motion and tilt. Whether players are twisting their systems side to side, or moving it up and down, their motion-compatible Nintendo 3DS games respond instantly.
Circle Pad Analog Control
With the Circle Pad, located above the + Control Pad, Nintendo 3DS offers full analog control in 3D game worlds. Combined with the touch screen, traditional buttons, camera and microphone input, and advanced motion control of the Motion Sensor and Gyro Sensor, the potential is extraordinary.
3D Camera Functionality
Along with a digital camera facing inwards towards the player, the Nintendo 3DS system features two outer cameras positioned along its upper edge when device is open. These two cameras see the world in 3D, much like the human eye, allowing for the creation of 3D photos - and a similar 3D effect to that seen in Nintendo 3DS games. All cameras feature 640 x 480 resolutions with single focus lenses that use the CMOS capture element and an active pixel count is approximately 300,000 pixels.
Adjustable Stylus
The adjustable Nintendo 3DS Stylus takes the idea of touch control to a new and even more user-friendly level. Once removed from the holder, the stylus length can be adjusted to your liking with a simple push or pull. Now anyone can achieve the optimum level of comfort while playing games that use the stylus.
Cradle Charging
Dock your Nintendo 3DS system whenever you are not using it in the included Charging Cradle to keep it powered. You can then leave the system on in Sleep Mode while charging, so that it can communicate via the SpotPass feature at any time of day or night.

    Samsung UN55D8000 Black Friday Reviews

    Samsung UN55D8000

These are some typical reasons to buy an LED TV. LED TVs have a low power consumption rate. Not only will you save money, you will also help the environment out a bit. LED TVs typically have better color accuracy and better dark and color contrast. LED TVs have the capability to use light dimming to create a more realistic picture. LED TVs also produce brighter pictures. This is useful when the TV is set in a brighter room.
    Samsung UN55D8000

LED TVs can be produced thinner than plasmas or LCD aka prettier TVs. One of the other reasons why you should get an LED is that they last the lights used in these TVs are more lasting and efficient. If these reasons bode well with you, an LED TV is a perfect choice for you.
The Samsung UN55D8000 Black Friday is a LED 3D Full HDTV that excites you more than just these reasons. This TV is also Samsung’s flagship model. Samsung also has a different TV at almost all price points. You can safely assume that the UN55D8000 has only the top-of-the-range features and improvements.
This TV offers you a power consumption rate that exceeds Energy Star Standards. It is built with a Micro Dimming Plus technology that adjusts brightness and dark levels in each micro area. The Clear Motion Rate 960 lets you know that this TV is able to give you judder-free picture. The UN55D8000 has plenty of connectivity options and has Built-In Wi-Fi.

    Style with an Edge

Or almost the lack of. The UN55D8000 has a bezel of only 0.2”. This is the skinny bezel gives you the floating picture feel, or the all picture feel. Just imagine watching a movie on a projector or in the cinema, you’ll get it. Samsung takes this TV design one step closer to bringing the cinema to your home.
The frame is luxurious brushed titanium and it sits on a matching 4-legged stand. If you prefer to have the TV on a wall, the 35.7lbs will make it easier for handling. The UN55D8000 has a clean overall look. There are no buttons to distract except for the Samsung logo in the middle of the bottom edge. The UN55D8000 is one of the most handsome TV in the market.

    For your other Gadgets

The Samsung UN55D8000 Black Friday is built really skinny. But it manages an amount of inputs and connectivity any gadget-lover would respect. It comes equipped with 4 HDMI inputs and 3 USB ports. It has your standard composite and component inputs of course.
The UN55D8000 packs a PC and an Ethernet Port if you wanted to use the TV for your multimedia display. There is a PC Audio Input and an Audio Output (mini jacks). This may be useful if your girlfriend wants to watch a rom-com but you want to play of Black-Ops in earshot of each other.
When you love tech so much, you may have 5 PCs, 3 laptops and 2 tablets at home. ‘Home-sharing’ or networking may become your new best friend. There are possibly different drives that contain different media on different PCs. You want the freedom to do playbacks on different TVs without the tedious data transfers.
With the AllShare DLNA and Anynet+ features, you get to watch movies or play games on different TVs. You do not have to make duplicate copies of your movies or have a second Xbox or Playstation. But you will have to get your networking going first.
There are a few limitations. The AllShare DLNA feature connects all DLNA certified machines. For example, PCs, cameras, camcorders game consoles etc. The Anynet+ can work with Anynet+ enabled devices, aka some Samsung devices.
Although there are limitations, there are some advantages. You can get rid of clutter by using just one remote control. You can get rid of clutter by ridding unsightly spaghetti wires. IF in case one of your laptops or tablets is stolen, you may not have all your data lost. They are located in your other drives or storage devices. This is a great upside for privacy. Samsung LED TV Black Friday

    More than an Idiot Box

The Samsung UN55D8000 gives you a bit of future-proofing. The Samsung Smart TV is a web-enabled feature that allows you play games, workout, Facebook and read the news. Read twitter if that is your first port of call for news. It has an embedded Skype App has a compatible Skype camera built for this TV.
The UN55D8000 has a Built-In Wi-Fi to save you money from buying a dongle. The remote control doubles up as a mini QWERTY keyboard on its flipside. It needs to be paired with the TV before it can work. There is also an E-Manual to help you learn and troubleshoot.
Samsung’s Smart TV is the most progressive and best line-up of apps in the business. It boasts the widest variety of apps. The interface might be overwhelming at first, but will be easy after a bit of practice. You will also get daily app updates. Firmware and software updates are also available when needed.

    Great Image Quality

The Samsung UN55D8000 is built with a Clear Motion Rate 960. This is Samsung’s new standard for refresh rate, video processing and backlighting performance. To break this down, the refresh rate is running at 240Hz. This is considered quick and eliminates judder. There is also no motion blur or flickering when panning from left to right.
Black levels and color are excellent on this set. The UN55D8000 controls the dark and brightness levels so that you may enjoy movies like you would at a cinema. You also have a wide range of controls to suit your taste. This is one of the Samsung’s strengths.
This set is equipped with 25,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio and Micro Dimming Plus. These 2 particular features are bestowed on the high-end Samsung TVs. They allow you to see every strand of hair in more detail than before.
The UN55D8000 does what a flagship TV should do. Viewing Green Hornet in 3D on blu-ray is exciting and most enjoyable. This set smoothes out noise and had little picture degradation. There were also no crosstalks during fast moving fight scenes. Kicks and punches looked sharp and were without judder.
Fight scenes are mostly shot at night. Contrasts are awesome and details are superb. The dark outfits and wrinkles on the Green Hornet’s clothes are very sharp. There are plenty of occasions where black objects were against another black object or black car and even night sky. The UN55D8000 is so powerful it can present depth, separation and details very well. Can’t stress enough about details.
The immersion while watching this movie was simply a breathtaking experience. The level of depth and separation between background and foreground was very good. The explosions of cars and objects makes you feel like you are in the movie.
Colors are beefy and punchy. The garage housed at least over 30 cars. Each car had a different color and you can see the brilliance of the UN55D8000. The Wide Color Enhancer Plus works to provide the most vivid and luscious colors.
The Ultra Clear Panel is a wonderful feature that absorbs ambient light. This will be useful when playing Black Ops or watching The Green Hornet under bright lights or during the day. Reflections will be eliminated.
The Auto Volume Leveler is an interesting feature which works relatively well. You now can enjoy movies or music from different sources. You will not need to have the remote in your hand constantly. Sudden explosion noises or when one song progresses to the next will have one even volume.

    Conclusion

The Samsung UN55D8000 is the best LED TV you can get in the market now. It has made improvements and is loaded with features you can actually use. The only drawback is the uniformity of the panel which is at the expense of the thin design. As long as you are not placing the TV too high above eye-level, it should not be a problem. Overall, picture quality, color and video processing in 3D and 2D is undeniable good and accurate. You are getting the best Internet Entertainment Suite. The UN55D8000 TV is also the slimmest and best looking TV around.

    Nikon D5100 Black Friday Reviews

    Nikon D5100

The Nikon D5100 Black Friday sits comfortably in the middle of Nikon's non-Pro DSLR lineup, carefully blending the features of the beginner-friendly D3100 with the image capabilities of the more expensive D7000. As such it features a 16.2MP CMOS sensor, 1080p (H.264) movie capability and an articulated 920k dot LCD in a relatively compact body. Like previous Nikons at this price it features a pentamirror viewfinder and 11-point AF system capable of tracking subjects by distance and color, as well as the still-improving full-time AF-F mode for use when shooting in live view mode. It also becomes the first Nikon DSLR to offer in-camera special effect filters while shooting either stills or video.

To say Apple's iPad 2 is an easy tablet to review is somewhat of an understatement. The device, a follow up to last year's wildly successful (and currently market-defining) iPad, is nearly identical when it comes to software, and though improved, closely related on the hardware side as well. With a 9.7-inch, 1024 x 768 display, the general size and shape of the device has remained the same, and though inside there's a new dual core A5 CPU, more memory, and a pair of new cameras, most of the iPad 2's changes are cosmetic. Still, the previous tablet soared far above most of its competitors when it came to the quality of both the hardware (if not its raw specs) and its software selection -- something Apple still stands head and shoulders over its adversaries on. So this new model, a thinner, sleeker, faster variant of the original may not be breaking lots of new ground, but it's already at the front of the pack. But is the iPad 2 worth an upgrade for those that took the plunge on the first generation? More importantly, does the device have what it takes to bring new owners into the fold? Those questions -- and more -- are all about to be answered in the full Engadget review, so read on!iPad 2 review hands-on

    Hardware

The iPad 2 is both all about -- and not about -- the hardware. From an industrial design standpoint, the iPad 2 just seriously raised the bar on sleek, sexy computer hardware. If you're an owner of the original model, you know it was no slouch in the design department, but its latest iteration takes it to a whole other place. The first thing you'll probably notice about the iPad 2 is that it's thin -- unbelievably thin. At its thickest point, the tablet is just 0.34-inches (compared with the first iPad's half an inch of girth). The device is slightly shorter than the previous model (at 9.5-inches tall), but also slightly less wide (just 7.3-inches versus the iPad's 7.47-inches). It looks and feels amazingly sleek when you hold it. As Steve Jobs pointed out at the launch event, the device is thinner than the astoundingly thin iPhone 4 -- quite a feat considering what's packed inside the slate. Of course, it's still not exactly light, weighing in at 1.33 pounds (or 1.34 / 1.35 for the 3G models), just a hair under the original's one and a half pounds.

As with the previous version, the front of the device is all screen, save for a bezel (which appears slightly less broad than the one on the first model), and a home button at the bottom of the display. The iPad 2 does add a camera opposite from that button at the top of the device, but the small dot is barely noticeable. Around back there's the familiar, smooth aluminum of the previous version (it does feel slightly smoother here), a small, dotted speaker grid on the lower left, a camera on the upper left, and depending on what model you get, the 3G antenna along the top back. The volume buttons and mute / rotate switch sit on the back left side of the device, while on the right you'll find the Micro SIM slot (on 3G versions). A standard 30-pin dock connector is along the bottom, while the top reveals a power / sleep button on the upper right side, and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the left. All pretty standard business for an iPad, but smartly put together on this tiny frame.

The device is available with either a white or black bezel -- we reviewed the white model.

In all, it's an incredibly handsome and svelte package. Pictures don't quite do the iPad 2 justice -- it feels really, really great in your hands. Not only does the construction give it a feeling of heft and permanence, but the thin profile combined with the new, tapered edges make holding the device a real joy. Apple is known for its industrial design, and they didn't just chew scenery here; the iPad 2 is beautifully and thoughtfully crafted.

    Internals / display / audio

Much has been made about what is -- and isn't -- inside the new iPad. For starters, Apple has replaced last year's A4 CPU with a new, 1GHz dual core chip it's calling the A5 (surprise surprise). According to Geekbench, there's now 512MB of RAM in the iPad, bringing it up to iPhone 4 standards. That still seems on the low side to us -- a device in this class should probably be sporting 1GB, though we had no memory issues. The screen is identical to the previous model, a 1024 x 768, 9.7-inch IPS display. It still looks good, though we really would have liked to see a bump in resolution -- if not up to the Retina Display's doubled numbers, then something substantial. We don't take issue with the quality of the display as far as color balance or deepness of blacks go, but we would like to see higher pixel density, especially for the book apps.

On the wireless front, you can nab either a WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n) only model, a Verizon 3G version, or an iPad of the AT&T / GSM variety. Bluetooth 2.1+EDR is on board, as is an AGPS chip in the 3G versions. All the models come equipped with an ambient light sensor, an accelerometer, and a new addition: a three-axis gyroscope.

As we said, Apple has relocated the iPad's single speaker to the back of the device. The sound seems clearer if somewhat quieter than the old version, and we can't say that there's a major improvement as far as the placement goes. It does the job, but if you're working in GarageBand (or just listening to music or watching video), you'll want good headphones or decent speakers nearby.

Still, on the specs front the iPad 2 feels very iterative. There's nothing here that is totally mind-blowing, but there's nothing here that makes it feel far off from its nearest competition. We're early enough in the tablet game that a small push in specs like this will last us another season, but Apple needs to deliver bigger guns by the time we see a "3" at the end of the iPad moniker.

How to Buy a Home Theater System

    The Big Picture

A home theater can do a remarkable job of mimicking the multiplex experience. DVD players and newer televisions can produce detailed high-resolution pictures, offering realistic portrayals of everything from the largest explosion to the smallest teardrop. And thanks to a high-quality surround-sound speaker system, you'll almost feel the rotor blades whirring by as you watch a helicopter pass overhead. With the right setup, your living room will become a movie-watching cocoon.

To get the crisp picture, you'll need a DVD player or one of the new high-definition HD DVD or Blu-ray Disc players. DVD video outputs up to 540 horizontal lines of resolution, compared with about 200 lines on the VHS tapes your VCR plays. And you can see the difference, as the higher resolution produces a noticeably smoother and clearer picture. Most major consumer electronics companies, including Panasonic, Pioneer, Sony, and Toshiba, make DVD players. These same companies also make the newer high-definition players that are capable of more than four times the resolution of standard DVD models when playing high-definition discs.

Prices for basic players range from $50 to $150, but you can pay a lot more for DVD players with lots of features. The overall picture quality, however, will usually be just as good on a current low-cost model as on an ultra-deluxe one. All DVD players can read music CDs; most can play MP3 music on recordable CDs, and video on one or more of the various recordable DVD formats (such as DVD-R and DVD+R). Some high-end models can also play one or both of the high-resolution, multichannel audio formats, DVD-Audio (DVD-A) and Super Audio CD (SACD). At the top of the heap are players for the new high-definition videodisc formats, Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD, which currently sell for $300 or more; you'll need a high-definition television to take full advantage of them, though.
    Picking the Right TV

While you can watch DVD movies on any television, wide-screen TVs work especially well because most DVD movies use the wide-screen format. Wide-screen televisions have a 16:9 (width:height) aspect ratio, which is closer to the shape of theater screens than the 4:3 aspect ratio of normal TVs is. In addition, the 16:9 aspect ratio is standard for high-definition television, which produces much sharper and clearer pictures than does conventional (NTSC) television. As a result, almost all TVs available today with a diagonal screen measurement greater than 27 inches are wide-screen models, and most (though not all) of them are capable of displaying high-definition images. For your home theater, you probably don't want to consider anything other than a wide-screen TV.

For the first 50 years of television's history, essentially all sets used cathode-ray tubes to display the picture. Today, other display technologies dominate at screen sizes larger than 26 inches, and CRT-based TVs will likely disappear from the market within the next decade. TVs appropriate for home theaters now divide into roughly three categories: flat-panel TVs, rear-projection TVs, and front projectors.

Flat-panel TVs are just a few inches thick and can be either wall- or stand-mounted. LCD (liquid crystal display) panels are available in sizes ranging from portable units of a few inches diagonal to wide-screen models measuring as large as 65 inches diagonal. Plasma panels start at about 42 inches, and models measuring more than 100 inches diagonal are available. Except for small LCD TVs (usually 20 inches or less), almost all flat-panel TVs are wide-screen models, and most have HDTV inputs and resolutions. Where plasma and LCD screen sizes overlap, the LCDs tend to be more expensive. Generally speaking, LCDs are more suitable than plasmas for brightly lit rooms, but plasmas typically can produce deeper blacks and truer colors and thus a more pleasing overall picture. (Both technologies are evolving rapidly, however.) Most flat-panel TVs suitable for home theater use sell for between $700 and $10,000.

Rear-projection TVs cast a video image onto the inside of a translucent screen by means of internal mirrors and lenses. All rear-projection TVs (or RPTVs) available today are wide-screen HDTV designs. Some budget models still use CRTs to create the projected images, but most now rely on more compact DLP (Digital Light Projection), LCoS (liquid crystal on silicon), or LCD light engines in which a high-intensity lamp shines on or through one or more display chips or panels. Although bulkier than flat-panel TVs, rear-projection sets using these new technologies are usually no more than 16 to 18 inches deep and weigh only about 100 pounds; most are designed to be placed on a shelf or stand, something hard to achieve with traditional CRT designs. Screen sizes for rear-projection TVs range from about 42 inches to more than 70 inches diagonal, with prices typically between $1000 and $5000.

Originally developed primarily for business presentations on computers, compact front projectors (most using DLP or LCD technology) have become increasingly popular for home theater. Low-noise, high-definition models start at about $1000, and can produce extremely large, clear pictures. You will need a good-quality reflective cinema screen to project onto, however, and you will need to darken the room to get decent picture quality.
    The Sound of Movies

While the visual element is at the forefront of a movie's appeal, sound is what really immerses you in the experience. To achieve theater-quality audio, you'll need more than the speakers built into your TV or the two bookshelf speakers that came with your mini stereo system. A complete surround-sound system from a company such as Bose, JBL, or Paradigm includes center, left, and right speakers, as well as two satellite speakers (intended for placement at the sides or somewhat behind the seating area) and a subwoofer for rumbling bass.

These six speakers work together with audio formats such as Dolby Digital and DTS to create the sensation of bullets whizzing by your head and thunderstorms rolling through your house and rattling your teeth. You don't need all the elements to enjoy a good listening experience, but at a minimum you should have center, left, and right speakers.

Most home theater systems also include an A/V receiver--a box that acts as the hub for all audio input from the various components of the system, decodes surround-sound signals, and amplifies and balances sound before sending it to the speakers.

As more people decide to set up a home theater, vendors are making the task easier. Many companies now offer "home theater in a box" setups that include a DVD player integrated with a receiver, plus a full set of six speakers.

    Apple Laptops Best Price Reviews

If you are looking for Apple MacBook laptops, we can honestly say that you may only be one small step away from a great mobile computing experience.

In the old days when PC laptops dominated the industry, Apple laptops were primarily held back by the processing technologies used by Apple at the time, and a vastly smaller list of 3rd party software applications for the platform.

But flashing forward to modern Apple Mac laptops, we must say Apple's adoption of PC laptop processing technology from Intel was one of the best things to happen for Apple's mobile computer market.

Besides offering better laptop performance in all areas, having an Intel processor inside helped to increase the number of software applications available for the Mac operating system.

We must say, Apple Mac laptops are now among the best in the industry, if not the best. Apple laptops are also fully capable to not only run the finely tuned Mac OSX operating system, but Microsoft's latest and greatest Windows 7 operating system, so an Apple MacBook laptop is essentially like buying two computers for the price of one.

Here's a brief look at some of the coolest innovations in Apple laptops. We overview the Apple MacBook, MacBook Pro, and the MacBook Air, and give some personal buying advice for these sweet machines.

We've also provided Apple shopping links below to some of the best online deals for used, new, and refurbished laptops.

We are very happy that Apple made a very wise decision and paired up with the largest processor manufacturer in the world.
Intel is currently the top dawg when it comes to performance and mobility, and the switch from G4 processors to Intel, has helped to drive the prices of Macintosh computers to record lows, and helped the platform other areas as well.
Performance wise Intel processors are phenomenal, and when you add exceptional battery saving features to the mix you have the foundation for a laptop that is a no compromise performer, at home and on the road.
And the current crop of Intel i5 & i7 processors inside Apple laptops are outstanding, giving the MacBook line of laptops including the MacBook and MacBook Pro plenty of horsepower to drive all the latest applications including games, productivity, and content creation applications without so much as a hiccup.
The latest Intel i7 processors including in MacBook laptops, run at blazing speeds of up to 2.66GHz, plus they are multi-cored and paired with Intel's Hyper-Threading technology. Hyper-Threading technology allows the Mac OS X operating system to see the i5 and i7 processor as four virtual processors instead of two physical processors.
What does this mean to the end-user?  More performance! When you run multiple applications at once, the Core i5 and Core i7 processors distribute tasks more evenly across each core, improving system performance, as well as increasing system responsiveness when multi-tasking.

And the list doesn't stop here, if we were to go more in depth, you'd also learn that Intel processors contain numerous other technological innovations including an integrated memory controller, and what Intel calls Turbo Boost technology among others.

An integrated memory controller allows the processor to communicate directly with the systems memory, improving an Apple laptops performance substantially.  And Intel's Turbo Boost dynamically increases the speed of one or both of the processors internal cores, increasing for example the 2.66Ghz MacBook Pro up to a whopping 3.33Ghz when needed.

Both technologies are perfect for driving the sleek, powerful MacBook platform. The technical inovations offered by the Intel i5 and i7 processor have in our opinion pushed the Mac Apple laptop platform to new levels.

And new levels of performance would be nothing if we also didn't see an increase in battery runtime as well. After all, what good is a powerful mobile machine if you can't go out to play for extended periods?

Current Apple laptops achieve outstanding battery runtimes thanks in part to the Intel processor platform, so low battery runtime is simply a problem of the past.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro lasts up to a whopping 10 hours, and the 15 and 17-inch MacBook Pro can even last from 8 to 9 hours.  Pretty impressive!  The standard MacBook can also reach up to an awesome 10 hours on a single battery charge, and the MacBook Air 13-inch can get up to 7 hours, where finally 11-inch MacBook Air laptops can still get up to an admirable 5 hours of runtime.
Apple laptops in our opinion were needing a successor to the old IBM chips for some time, and we honestly have to say that Intel is the same processor manufacturer that we we would have paired up with if personally given the choice.
Intel competitor Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) also make fantastic processors, but they simply don't have the muscle Intel has, and it is this muscle that Apple needed to push their portable Apple Mac laptops to great heights.
And wow, what great heights they've achieved!
    Windows on Apple laptops!
Welcome to Boot Camp!  Boot Camp in a nutshell allows you to run a Windows operating system at full speed on your Apple Mac laptop.
In fact, the first time we fired up our reliable Windows XP OS, ok usually reliable Windows XP OS we must admit we were very impressed with the performance.
apple macbook laptop bootcamp assistant pictureWe ran all our PC apps through the paces and the fluid performance of Windows XP blew us away.
And more recently we've installed Microsoft's Windows 7 operating system on a brand new MacBook Pro 17 inch and it ran phenomenal as well.
In fact setup was pretty much a snap too for Apple provides everything except Windows to get you up and running in no time.
Splitting the hard drive into two partitions was simple as click, click, and click using Apple's Boot Camp Assistant.
After partitioning the drive we then proceeded to install the OS and when it was all said and done we popped in the OSX Leopard disc to finish everything off with the Windows drivers that were all included.
Finally we performed a few tweaks to our liking such as enabling the FN keys etc. and we were up and running with Windows on a Mac laptop.  Sweet!
Now we spend the majority of our time using Apple's rock solid Mac OSX Leopard OS, and if the need ever arises for Bill Gates' brainchild, we can simply boot right into and work away just like we've always done.
Apple Laptops - Innovations to boot!
As you see we are pretty ecstatic that we can now run our specialty PC apps on Apple laptops, but it's even cooler that we can do so with Apple's innovation and style.
apple laptop magsafe power adapter connector pictureOne of our top favorite internal technological features included on the MacBook Pro 15 and 17-inch model is the automatic graphics switching technology.
MacBook Pro models come standard with this automatic graphics switching capability and it allows the computer to seamlessly switch between the discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics processor and integrated Intel HD Graphics processor.
This feature is totally transparent to the user, and happens on the fly without the need to power down the laptop or change any preferences. Automatic graphics switching gives you performance when you need it and better battery efficiency when you don't. Pretty cool!
One of our favorite external technological innovations to this day is Apple's MagSafe power adapter connector, introduced to the Mac laptop line awhile back.  The MagSafe has since been standard on all Apple MacBook laptops.
I can't tell you how many times someone tripped on my laptop power cord in the past and I literally felt like damage was most definitely done to my power connector.  I've almost had my notebook fly off the desk more than once in my lifetime too.
Because the MagSafe power adapter connecter is magnetically connected, it will literally break cleanly away without damaging the cord or the computer.  So if someone does trip on the power cord you should thank Apple designers for future proofing your investment.
One thing worth noting was that the little magnet was actually very powerful and took a strong grip on the connector to get loose.  We never recommend grabbing anything by the cable, but we always wondered if this will be an issue with the less cautious users who just yank on the cord. This didn't end up being the case.
But while the build quality of the connector appeared solid when we first saw one, there were actually problems with various MagSafe adapters sometime in 2008.

But pple has since addressed any potential concerns a long time ago so theres nothing to worry about with current MacBook laptops.

Overall we are happy to have a MagSafe connector anytime over a standard connector for we much rather not have to pick our laptop pieces off the floor in the event of a misfortunate accident.

apple macbook trackpadAnother innovation in Apple laptops is Apple's Multi-Touch trackpad technology.  Basically it allows the touchpad to detect whether one or two fingers is currently resting on it.
Use the trackpad with one finger to perform all you navigation like usual but put two on it and instantly you can scroll through a document, webpage or menu with ease. Honestly it worked pretty well, though we still prefer a trusty USB mouse nevertheless.
We also liked the lack of a physical latch when opening and closing the notebook.  Apple's use of a magnetic latch means less chance of additional parts wearing out over time or  something even possibly snagging on it. In our opinion it also adds a bit to the Apple laptops high-tech look and feel.

Additional MacBook Apple laptop features and impressions!
To be honest with you we really like Apple's overall package and feel Apple laptops are pretty darn sweet no matter how you view them!  We are impressed with not only the MacBook, but the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air build quality and feature set.
macbook air laptop screen pictureLike usual, new Apple laptops also have very vivid screens. And in fact the MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air all use LED backlights which are more power efficient, and brighter among other things.
While LED backlights are not completely new in the world of screens it is nevertheless awesome technology and standard on the MacBook line as we've mentioned.
Their built-in iSight webcam is also a standard feature on Apple laptops.  Even today some PC laptops do not include a built-in webcam.  Of course you still must remember there is and always has been a price premium with Mac laptops so you'd hope to have one standard, right?  We think so too.
Price wise however, Apple laptops have came down tremendously in price, but even so they are still more expensive than your average PC laptop.
But if you happen to have a Windows disc lying around Boot Camp will literally allow your Apple laptop to transform into two laptops with the click of a mouse.  How is that for a bargain?  Pretty cool we agree.
mac osx leopard logo pictureIn our opinion the price premium for many of you is in fact going to be worth it over the typical Windows PC laptop, even if you don't use Boot Camp.  But add Boot Camp to the mix and you have a notebook that is more compatible and capable than ever.
We also like the fact that Apple laptops have full featured software packages on top of the awesome Mac OSX operating system and everything else we just mentioned.
You are going to get their Safari web browser, a mail app to manage your emails, address book and iCal, Time Machine for file backups, iChat for video messaging with friends and family, and Boot Camp as we mentioned earlier among many other cool applications.  Not bad, not bad at all!

    Final thoughts and advice!
After extensive tinkering with the new Apple laptops we once again came to the conclusion that Apple is a force to be reckoned with in the mobile computing universe.
As we said earlier, we found every Apple laptop from the MacBook to the MacBook Air and Pro pretty much flawless.  We had a few minor gripes of course but nothing that would discourage us from recommending an Apple Mac laptop.
One minor annoyance with the MacBook Air that we can't honestly knock too much because of its petite frame is the fact that it requires an external CD/DVD drive.
macbook air superdrive pictureOk, so what's the big deal then if we can't knock it?  The fact that it doesn't come standard and will cost you about one hundred bucks is the deal.
A base Apple laptop MacBook Air already can run upwards of 1500 bucks when its all said and done, so we personally feel Apple should have included it standard with every MacBook Air purchase.
Putting that aside we feel Apple laptops are simply going to be great computing machines nevertheless for many of you no matter how we or anyone else critique them.  Unless of course you can't afford one that is.
If you are on a tight budget your best option may be to go the PC laptop route for most new base Mac configurations run upwards of one thousand dollars after tax and accessories.  Sure you can also get models including the smallest 11.6-Inch MacBook Air for under 1000 bucks, but unfortunately this is still far more expensive than your typical budget PC, especially when you compare and contrast features across the two platforms.
Those of you however that are looking for a brand new notebook, just over the thousand dollar range, will most likely find Apples standard MacBook laptops to be pretty aggressively priced, and in our opinion a bargain, especially if you are going to take advantage of Boot Camp to run two operating systems.
After testing our fair share of Apple Macbook laptops, we conclude that Apple laptops are great for just about anyone, except those on an extreme budget. It's quite that simple!
    Highly recommended!

Read LED TV Reviews before Purchasing the Newest TV Models

The newest generation of wide screen TVs is LED, but before jumping to buy the first one you see, you should check out LED TV Reviews and see what’s available and what’s worth purchasing.

First of all you want to ask yourself why you want to upgrade to a new generation television. The first thing that LED TV Reviews will mention is the contrast ratio. These new generation TVs have the best contrast ratios, because of their use of light emitting diodes instead of the cold cathode fluorescent lights, which cannot be turned off, therefore creating no dark images. Moreover, because of this technology, manufacturers can now produce super slim TVs, ones that you can literally hang on your wall like a picture.

There are a few features you need to take into consideration when shopping for a LED TV, especially since it is not a cheap purchase. The TV is the centerpiece of your home theater system and the one that makes the first impression; if it is bulky and delivers fuzzy images, it means you’ve wasted your money.

Many LED TV reviews state that, when buying this type of TV, you should look for local dimming; this means that when the images dark – for example, the movie you are watching is showing a night scene – the TV will automatically know how to adjust so you can better see the details, unlike with an old style TV where you’re always annoyed that you can’t see anything on the screen, and you have no clue what’s going on in the movie. One the same line of thought, you want to choose a TV that’s as slim as possible, so that you can easily mount it on the wall if you want to.

Other LED TV Reviews mention that you should also look into what you can connect to your TV before buying it. You may want, for your convenience, to be able to hook it up to the computer, to have a memory slot for your camera cards or the flash drive, an Ethernet port and other video outputs. Since you’re thinking about buying the latest generation TV, you want to make the most out of it, to be able to use it not just for viewing TV shows, but also for gaming, videos, pictures and anything else you can think of.

The display is another important factor to consider. Many LED TV Reviews claim that you should be on the lookout for the quickest refresh rate. This means streaming video without any blurs or delays. Basically, you should look for a response time of 3 ms or faster. This is especially important if you like viewing action movies, playing computer games on your TV screen, or if you want to use it to exercise.

Another important factor to consider is customer support. It is imperative to have quick access to any information at any time of day, especially since you have paid so much money for your new TV. You also want to have different options to reach customer support, via phone, fax, email or in person and to talk to representatives that can help you and be patient as well.

The LED TV Reviews for 2011 mention models with an incredibly high quality image, as well as very user-friendly applications; you can even find TVs that are a bit cheaper than the rest on the market, even though they are still great quality.

The top LED TV models have plenty of features to keep the whole family happy: you can watch videos, access your Facebook account, play computer games, all with such ease!
